I made this unusual poppy ring about 6 years ago. I've been holding on to it as part of my personal collection, but have decided it is time to let it go now.
One day, while walking around NY's flower district, I found some lovely little dried poppies. I chose the smallest one to be molded and had several wax casts made. I originally thought I would make a pendant of some sort, but then decided a wrap style ring would be funner. I made one in gold (this listing) and one in silver (found here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/913955509/silver-and-orangey-pink-tourmaline-poppy?ref=shop_home_active_1&frs=1 ).
This Poppy Ring is cast solid in 10k yellow gold. The stem is wrapped around to form the band of the ring which is incomplete and adjustable between US sizes 4 -7 (in the listing photos it is adjusted to size 6). The center of the poppy is set with a beautiful 4.7mm round faceted orangey red tourmaline. The ring can be gently adjusted by you to suit your finger best, but I will adjust it to whichever size you choose as a starting point. I find that slightly tighter is better as the incomplete band works best that way. If you normally wear a size 6 (which you would choose from the dropdown size options) I will adjust it to a size 5.75.
The ring looks great worn by itself but can also stack nicely with other ring as well.
