A good friend found the original sand dollar, from which this pendant was molded, on San Francisco's Ocean Beach. I think it is one of the most perfect specimens I have ever seen and I am so grateful that she gave it to me. Thank you, Jeannie!
The sand dollar is cast solid in sterling silver, oxidized and polished to bring out the detail, and set with a glimmering 2.6 mm rose cut blue-green diamond at its center. It is hung on a 60cm (24 inch) long, 3.6mm wide elongated oval sterling silver chain with a cast sterling silver shell fragment adorning its end. The chain is adjustable as the clasp can be attached not only to the end of the chain but also through the loops of the chain itself.
Sand Dollar pendant can be purchased on its own (on a silver jump ring) or hung on the chain as the complete necklace (please see chain options).
The pendant, by itself, weighs approximately 9.7 grams and measures approximately 2.8cm high x 2.7cm wide with a 3.6mm depth.
