This hummingbird was originally made in gold as a custom piece for a good friend. It is an original piece, which I sculpted from scratch in wax and then molded and cast in precious metal. I liked how it came out, so I decided to make a few more in limited quantities, each one hand-colored and unique.
The hummingbird in this listing is solid cast sterling silver, colored with UV enamel, and set with a 1.2mm genuine black diamond as the eye. It measures approx 2.7 cm high x 2.6 cm wide x 3.7mm deep. The bail is hidden on the back of the bird and as a result, the bird moves on the neck in a very interesting way, sort of like a real hummingbird might! The bail opening measures approximately 4.6mm x 2.5 mm wide and the pendant weighs approx 3.8 grams.
