Brass and Genuine Boulder Opal Ankh Dagger Pendant-Ready to Ship

This Ankh Dagger is cast in solid brass and set with a genuine 7x5mm oval black Boulder Opal cabochon with blue and green flashing stripes in matrix. The Ankh Dagger measures 6.6 cm tall (including bail) x 2.5 cm wide and weighs 5.3 grams.

The Ankh Dagger is being sold as a pendant on an adjustable leather cord.

Opal is the union of fire and water. It is the birthstone for October and is thought to promote "happy dreams and changes" while helping the wearer to access their Higher Self. Said to be a stone of communion, revelation, and vision some believe it may help to promote love and understanding. Opal is also thought to bestow charm & charisma upon its wearer, enhancing personal power and self-esteem while dispelling shyness.

Opal is a fragile stone and can chip and break if handled roughly or dropped. Opal jewelry should be cleaned only with mild soap in warm water and can be rubbed gently with a soft toothbrush or cloth. Bleach, chemicals, and cleaners should be avoided.

This is a decorative dagger pendant; while the blade is not sharpened, it is pointy, and some care should be taken while wearing it. Please remove the pendant before sleeping and please note that this pendant is not suitable for children.

This brass alloy is a nice bright yellow (quite similar in appearance to 18-karat yellow gold) and it does not turn my skin funny colors when I wear it! Every person has a different skin chemistry and therefore a different relationship to brass jewelry, so I cannot predict how it will react to everyone, but it has passed my test.

Please note: This is raw brass, it is not plated (I do not plate my jewelry because the plating always wears off) and it is not clear coated, so it will tarnish over time and need a little polish with a jeweler's cloth once in a while, especially if not being worn or stored in sealed plastic.
