This Ankh Dagger is cast in solid brass and set with a genuine 5.5 x 4.5 mm faceted oval amethyst. The pendant measures 6.2 cm tall (including bail) x 2.4 cm wide and weighs approximately 4 grams.

Amethyst is said to be connected to the mind, supporting thought processes and intuition. It is supposed to promote calm and clarity where there is confusion, and help encourage confidence in the wearer. Some believe it provides protection from the negativity and helps relief stress and anxiety.
This brass alloy is a nice bright yellow (quite similar in appearance to 18-karat yellow gold) and it does not turn my skin funny colors when I wear it! Every person has a different skin chemistry and therefore a different relationship to brass jewelry, so I cannot predict how it will react to everyone, but it has passed my test.
Please note: This is raw brass, it is not plated (I do not plate my jewelry because the plating always wears off) and it is not clear coated, so it will tarnish over time and need a little polish with a jeweler's cloth once in a while, especially if not being worn or stored in sealed plastic.
