Black Porcelain vessel/jar: Carved with Red Glaze and 22k Gold Luster, Hand-thrown

This small black porcelain jar was thrown on the potter's wheel. I hand-carved the pattern at the leather-hard stage and painted blue-green underglaze into the cuts. Once the piece was bisque-fired, I applied a red high-fire glaze to the inside and a clear gloss high-fire glaze to the outside. Finally, I applied 22k gold luster overglaze to the rim. It can be purchased with or without a natural cork stopper.
The dimensions (without the cork stopper) are approximately 2" tall x 3.2" wide (5.2cm x 8.1cm) and the weight is 5.7 oz (.16kg).
This little vessel can be a perfect spice, salt, herb, magickal potion, or stash jar. It can also be used to hold jewelry, small precious keepsakes, or even homemade balms or healing ointments. All glazes used on this piece are food-safe. Please hand wash only.
Each piece I create is one of a kind and takes many hours of joyful labor to complete.
