Red, Blue & Gold Dragon Bowl-Wheel Thrown Brown Stoneware, Carved with 22k Gold Luster

I threw this small dark brown stoneware bowl on the potter's wheel, then hand-carved the pattern. Once the piece was bisque-fired, I applied dark red and dark blue high-fire glazes and white celadon. Last but not least, I added Mother of Pearl Luster overglaze to the inside and outside, and then 22k yellow gold luster to the rim. The carved pattern reminds me of dragon scales.
This bowl can function on its own as a pretty stand-alone object, or it can hold any number of things. All glazes are food-safe, so it could be used as a small rice or serving bowl. It can also be used to hold jewelry or small precious keepsakes. Due to the luster and gold overglaze, please hand wash only, and DO NOT put in the microwave.
The dimensions are approximately 2.35" tall x 4" wide (6cm x 10.25 cm) and the weight is 8.5 oz (.238kg).
Each piece I create is one of a kind and takes many hours of joyful labor to complete.
