The model for this ring was sculpted in wax to resemble a strange organic form of ambiguous origin. It is cast in solid sterling silver and set with a white cultured pearl, 4 small round opals, and 6 tiny yellow sapphires.
Many believe pearls to symbolize purity, wisdom and transformation. Opal is the union of fire and water. It is thought to promote happy dreams and positive changes while helping the wearer to access their Higher Self. Said to be a stone of communion, revelation, and vision some believe opals may help to promote love and understanding. Opal is also believed to bestow charm & charisma upon its wearer, enhancing personal power and self-esteem while dispelling shyness. Yellow sapphire is thought to promote prosperity, good fortune and provide protection from negative energies.
Pearls and opals are somewhat fragile stones. They should never be cleaned using an ultrasonic machine and rather should be cleaned only with mild soap in warm water. They can be rubbed gently with a soft toothbrush or cloth. Bleach, chemicals, and cleaners should also be avoided.
