A large solid Sterling silver Scallop shell is hung from a Sterling Silver 4mm cable chain. Over the top of the Scallop shell is hung a blackened Sterling silver spiral top of a nautilus shell with a 2mm lab made rainbow opal bead nested in its point. The chain links are wide enough and sturdy enough to allow the lobster clasp to attach anywhere on the chain and thus adjust the length up to 25" (approx 63 cm). The loose end of the chain is adorned with a small solid blackened Sterling piece of coral.
The scallop shell measures approx. 3.9 cm wide by 3.7cm long.
This necklace is named for the Goddes of Love, Aphrodite, who was said to be born from sea foam in a giant scallop shell!
